When running an interface with HI-IQ and LinkTools, and LINK TCP/IP Receiver displays a message that contains “Invalid Version[2.3.1]” in the MSH segment, HL7 version is configured incorrectly.

In this example, the correct ‘HL7 Version’ should be 2.3.1.
To correct the HL7 version number,
1) locate the LINKTools® TCP/IP Receiver shortcut icon from the computer desktop on the server on which the HI-IQ interface is installed,
2) double-click to open,
3) click on Options icon.
4) Edit the version number in ‘HL7 Version’ field to equal the version in parenthesis in the “Invalid Version” LinkTools message.
5) Press ‘OK’.
6) Press ‘OK’ to save the change.
7) Restart LinkTools.
NOTE: The following illustration of LinkTools is from the website: www.linkmed.us.
In this example, the field number 7, ‘HL7 Version’ would be changed from 2.3 to 2.3.1, and saved.
Then LinkTools would be restarted.
